XML is a document formatting language that was developed in the 1990s since HTML does not allow the definition of new text elements, i.e. The eXtensible Markup Language, popularly known as XML, is one of the ways to package data to be transferred. In turn, several technologies have been developed to package data being transferred or shared between these many and different systems. In an increasingly connected ecosystem of software systems, communication between them has become even more paramount.
